Words you will meet on this page

Local storage: A small store inside your browser, tied to this one site and this one device. Websites cannot read another site’s store, and nothing in it travels to a server unless a page deliberately sends it. This page never does.
Verdict: The one-word result of a check: working, check this, not working, or not run. Everything else in the report exists to explain that word.
Clipboard: The temporary holding place for copied text, managed by your operating system. Copying puts the report there and nowhere else.
Private browsing: A browser mode that discards local storage when the window closes. Results collected in it disappear with the window, which is the point of the mode.
Sync: Copying data between your devices through a server. This site has none, which is why results stay on the device that produced them.

Questions about the summary

Is my report uploaded when I press share?

No. The button copies the report to your clipboard and does nothing else. There is no upload, no link generated on our side, and no record kept. You decide who sees it by choosing where to paste it.

Where are the results stored?

In your browser’s local storage, under this site’s name, on this device only. They survive closing the browser and are erased the moment you press the erase button — or when you clear site data yourself.

Why is a check showing “not run”?

Because you have not opened that page yet, or you opened it and did not complete the check. Each check writes its verdict only when it reaches a conclusion.

Can I remove a single result?

Not individually — erasing clears everything. Re-running a single check overwrites just that line, which is usually what people want anyway.

Do you know what my results were?

No. They are written by your browser, read by your browser, and never sent. We could not show you an old report even if you asked us to, because we do not have one.

Why can I not open the report on my phone?

Because there is no account to tie the two devices together, and adding one would mean storing your results on our side. Copying the text and messaging it to yourself achieves the same thing without that.

Is there a paid version of this report?

No. Everything on this site is free and there is nothing to buy, so there is no upsell hiding behind a button.

The report says everything is fine but my call still fails.

Then the fault is in the application or the service rather than in your hardware, and that is a useful conclusion. Start with the app’s own audio and video settings, and with the permissions your operating system grants that specific application.

How long do the results last?

Until you erase them or clear this site’s data. There is no expiry, because there is no server that could enforce one.

Does it work with cookies blocked?

Local storage is separate from cookies, but strict privacy settings block both. If storage is unavailable, the checks still work — the summary simply stays empty, which is honest rather than broken.
